Bio Leanna Hartsough, PhD envisioned ways to enhance people’s happiness, health, and holistic well-being. Her vision is how Festival Fitness opened in August of 2016, where she teaches sip and yoga classes on Zoom Sunday evenings at 6:30pm eastern. Leanna received her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Studio Oxygen in Canfield, Ohio and her PhD from the University of Kentucky. Her yoga teaching lineage is rooted in vinyasa, yin, hatha, and mindfulness. Leanna was a four-year track and field athlete at Youngstown State University, where she high jumped and was part of the triple crown championship team. Her experience has taught her the detailed complexities of the human body and its physical capabilities as well as the interpersonal aspects of coaching and being part of a successful team. Leanna has been teaching yoga since 2012 and college classes since 2016. She is a full-time online professor at the University of Cincinnati (UC) Clermont. She is the UC Clermont business communication course coordinator and teaches various communication courses. During her classes, Leanna promotes positive verbal and nonverbal communication skills by incorporating yoga poses and yoga ethics. These poses enhance students’ confidence and openness before, during, and after their presentations, within their relationships, and during their working lives. Email: hartsola@ucmail.uc.edu

What styles do you teach Sip and Yoga: In the sip and yoga sessions on Zoom Sundays at 6:30 eastern, the classes start with yoga followed by the optional social time cheers with any drink of your choice, food, laughter, and chat. The yoga style incorporates vinyasa, yin, hatha, mindfulness, and tantric elements.
