Elevate Akron is expanding our mission, vision and impact in the community.
Every year, over 3,000 people sign up for Akron’s largest yoga festival downtown at Lock 3. This year, we are seeking to carry the momentum of this event into opportunities to be of greater service. We believe that with the expanded mission and vision below, we will find ways to empower people to live healthy lifestyles, connect with their community, and be of service to those in need. Our Vision
Health – Raising Awareness of Wellness-Based Practices
Elevate Akron was born out of an awareness that yoga, and other wellness-based practices, can help people live healthier, happier, and more meaningful lives. We believe that we are supporting those needs of individuals in our community by facilitating accessibility to resources that empower people to take control of their own health and wellness. We believe empowered, healthy people go on to elevate their family, friends, coworkers, and their community. We accomplish this by connecting people to wellness-based practices and resources that will support their well-being in daily life.
Connection – Uniting and Expanding the Community
Connection is at the heart of the human experience. Elevate desires to function as a resource for individuals to find tools for connection within themselves, to their community, and to opportunities for service. We believe that these connections inspire people to more purposeful engagement as individuals, employees, and citizens. We accomplish this through sponsorships from businesses that support the growth and development of individuals and their community and featuring them at Akron’s largest yoga festival. These connections provide the structure to unite and expand our community through service with charitable organizations making an impact in Akron.
